Elizabeth Long Stories of faith, hope, and redemption
Determined not to let her fear of dogs keep her from making a house call to a pet-owning client, midwife Cora Cross appoints visiting dog trainer Tripp Blackburn as her bodyguard. However, what started as a simple favor quickly ends in disaster when Cora injures herself, so guilt-ridden Tripp decides to extend his stay to help the injured caregiver. Soon a friendship begins to develop, and healing comes to them in ways they didn’t think possible. But when the demands of Tripp’s life back in Colorado pull him away from Cora, will being stranded together during a snowstorm help him realize what’s truly important?
Elizabeth Long writes romance full of heart and laced with humor. Rainy days and comfy sweatpants are her ideal working conditions, and she usually depletes her e-reader's battery before her cell phone's. Elizabeth prefers the mountains to beaches, but will travel anywhere with her family as long as they return home to Texas. She only wishes the Lone Star State's weather would allow her to wear more sweaters.
